Private Obedience Lessons
Private training allows us to tailor your dog's training specifically to your situation, and allows us to train in the environment that your dog is most comfortable in – your home and neighborhood!
This is a basic pet manners program intended for the whole family and the commands taught will be adjusted to meet your needs. Our goal is to teach YOU how to train and handle your dog! Skills may include: sit, down, stay, come, wait, polite walking, leave-it, off, polite greetings (no jumping) & door manners, watch me, how to teach tricks like paw and roll-over, and how to use each of these commands in real life situations. Problems like housetraining, destructive chewing, and excessive attention seeking can also be addressed in this program.
Please note that certain behavior problems like aggression and separation anxiety fall under our Canine Behavior Counseling Program (see below).
Each training relationship starts with an Initial Consultation, which involves information gathering, meeting your dog and the people who are closely involved with your dog, management advice, and some initial training basics. Follow up sessions continue the training and advice based on you and your dog’s individual progress.

Canine Behavior Counseling
For problems above and beyond basic obedience training, like aggression, reactivity, and separation anxiety, an experienced behavior counselor will visit your home to meet with you and your dog to evaluate the situation. Included in this evaluation is a frank discussion on what is involved in dealing with the problem, factors that will influence success and progress, and, if appropriate, a behavior modification program specifically tailored for your situation and your dog's needs. All training and modification methods are based on principles of positive reinforcement and conscientious management.
Each counseling relationship starts with an Initial Consultation; if necessary, Follow-up visits will be scheduled. All cases involving aggression require at least one follow-up visit.

Agility Training
We also offer private agility training for you and your dog! From the basics of equipment familiarization for starter teams, to advanced handling techniques to improve your performance in the competition ring, we love teaching this great sport to dogs and their owners!
For dogs who can’t handle a group class, or owners who have a schedule that doesn’t permit joining a class, this is an ideal way to get in on the fun.
